I am going to Langkawi for a holiday soon! As Langkawi is well known for its beaches, I will be getting a beach resort thats very very near beach! :P

Its time for resort hunting. As Langkawi is a very big area, I had to decide on which area to stay. I narrowed to resorts along Pantai Cenang & Pantai Tengah as they are the more popular beaches.

Due to the large amount of beach resorts along the beaches, I had a very tough time on deciding which resort to stay. I chanced upon a list of Langkawi Hotels thats recommended by Travelers at TripAdvisor. I decided to choose a resort based on this list, saving myself headaches.

I shortlisted Beach Garden Resort and Sunset Beach Resort, as they are within my budget and are top of the list of recommended resorts.

I managed to book myself a room at Sunset Beach Resort as Beach Garden Resort is fully booked. I hope the resort is good! :) Some Langkawi maps.

This elephant riding place is located at “The Jungle House” in Korat (Thailand).

This is the 2nd time i rode on an elephant, but the 1st time at the driver’s seat instead of the chair behind on the elephant’s back. My 1st elephant riding is during my Phuket trip a few years back.

It feels a lot different compared to sitting on the seat, a lot more fun and more challenging to keep your balance.

Its a worthwhile experience and I am glad I got the chance to get on the driver’s seat!

This Desaru holiday is very memorable to me. I went there on my birthday with a girl that I like very much. She is a very special girl, after a few months of courtship, she finally agreed to be my girlfriend. It is a magical moment, and I am over the moon on that day. :D

We had planned to go there to see fireflies, by booking through the hotel. But the tour needs at least 4 persons to go and there is only a handful of guests staying in the hotel. Most of the guests are only there for rest and relax and none sign up for the firefly tour. Haiz. Thats the only regret I have for this holiday, but we did manage to see one lonely firefly at the beach at night. lol.

The whole stretch of beach is very nice and we enjoyed it very much. It seems as though we have the whole beach to ourselves.

Finally it is only 11 days countdown to a 7 days holiday at Cebu Philippines. Cebu Philippines is a diving heaven, but I will not be doing any diving there because I don’t know how to.

I will be taking direct flight from Singapore to Cebu with Cebu Pacific Airlines, I think it is the only airlines that flies there in Singapore. They only have direct flight (about 4 hrs flight) on certain days, if not, you have to transit through Manila to Cebu which takes about 9-10 hrs for the whole journey.

I will be staying 4 days in a resort at Moalboal before moving to a hotel in the Mactan Island. The air tickets and lodging + transfer already comes up to about SG$600.

I missed the days where I could slack the whole day during the Phuket trip a few years back, not having to worry about anything and enjoy the time with a few best friends. Feeling more and more excited as the day close by. I guess I need a break from my usual routine and spend some quality with a friend of mine.

After being away for about 6 days, I am finally back from my Bangkok holiday! Bangkok is a great place for holiday but 6 days is a bit too long, I think 4 days 3 nights should be sufficient for a nice and comfortable getaway without getting sick of the place.

I took Tiger Airways as they having promotions back in September last year when I booked the tickets which is around S$150 for round trip. The new Bangkok airport is quite big and is very clean.

I stayed at the Grand Diamond Suites Hotel located that is located in Pratunam. The overall stay there is quite pleasant, or should I say it is quite good. Surrounding the hotel is shopping centers offering wholesale prices if you buy 3 pieces or more. As the difference in currency is quite big, you wouldn’t feel heart pain spending money there. Everywhere is a shopping heaven! One can seriously shop till you drop dead especially the girls, too much variety for grasp. Lolz.

The expenses for the trip cost a little less than S$900, of which about 1/3 of the amount is for the hotel room which is quite expensive, but is worth the money.

I probably wouldn’t be going back to Bangkok anytime sooner as I hope to save enough money to go to other countries like Japan, Korea and many others!

Finally I am going to holiday! Leaving early in the morning tomorrow. Yep its Bangkok. My 1st holiday for 2008 and my 2nd time go to there. The last time I went there was 3 years ago.

Most of the time was spent shopping at the Chatuchak Weekend Market (Chatuchak Market in Bangkok is a shopping paradise in Bangkok). Its a experience of a lifetime and I don’t think I want to experience it again. Cos shopping for 2 days straight, Its soooo tiring!!

This trip will be more leisure in nature as it is 6 Days 5 Nights, I have to agree that its a bit long for bangkok trip. I hope to cover more grounds and eat more delicacies. I will also be getting myself some clothings as things are generally cheaper there. Levi’s in Bangkok cost 50% cheaper then getting it in Singapore! But the fashion is a bit back-dated. LOLz.

Can’t wait till the time comes to board the plane!
