Making New Year’s Resolutions 2010
Have you made your new year’s resolutions yet?
According to Wikipedia, A New Year’s resolution is a commitment that an individual makes to a project or the reforming of a habit, often a lifestyle change that is generally interpreted as advantageous. The name comes from the fact that these commitments normally go into effect on New Year’s Day. Some examples include resolutions to donate to the poor more often, to become more assertive, or to become more environmentally responsible.
Some of the more common resolutions are:
- get fit
- lose weight
- quit smoking
- get rid of debt
- save money
- better job
- reduce stress
Do you know that a lot of people make their new year’s resolutions, but only a handful of them actually achieve what they have set for their goals? I know I am one of them.
Making resolutions is easy, thinking about it is easy, writing it down on a piece of paper is easy, but working towards it is difficult.
So, stop making resolutions, start taking actions!
