Natas Travel Fair 2010 is happening this week at Singapore Expo Hall 3B, 4 & 5 from 27 - 29 August 2010.

You need to get admission tickets which cost S$4.00 for adults to get in. It is free admission for children thats below 12yrs old (but I don't think it is recommended to bring kids there).

Event timing is from 10am to 9.30pm.

Get good deals at the travel fair! I am going to take a look at the Club Med Mauritius deals for my honeymoon!

Changi Beach Park

Changi Beach Park is one of the oldest costal park and is located at the northeastern tip of Singapore.

During weekends, it is usually filled with family outings.

Its the first time I went to Changi Beach Park and I went with my wife's family on a sunday. It is a nice place to just sit there and enjoy watching the aircrafts preparing to land and getting so close to you. Good location to see sunset too.

Some other activities you can do there are fishing, jogging, biking and barbecuing.

Bus number 9,19 and 89 travels along the coast, or you can take bus number 2, 29, 59 and 109 to changi village and walk 5-10 minutes over to the beach park.

The food at Zhou's Kitchen is quite nice. We don't really like the sour plum drink thats offered free flow but the rest of the food it quite good.

NDP 2010 Preview

This Year Nation Day Parade (NDP 2010) is held at Padang.

Its been donkey years since I attended the last NDP. I think it attracts me more when I was a little kid than now. I am lucky to have gotten tickets for the preview on the 3rd July preview as I know my wife would like to see it.

Its not a very good day as its been raining in the morning but it stopped while we are making our way there. We are lucky to have the yellow zone tickets as the entrance is not that far away from the city hall mrt station as I heard that there is quite a distance to the entrance for other zones.

We reached pretty early at around 4pm. There isn't much queue for the goodie bags and the bags looks so much nicer then the previous years. We regretted to have reach that early as we are being ushered to the front seats :(.

Then the dreaded happens, rain drops keep falling on my head. ZZzz. The people started to wear the issued poncho thats in the goodie bag. Its wet and hot. And it rained for the whole of the parade.

Sad to say, the only thing that got me excited is the aerial display which includes aircrafts like F5, F16, F15, G550, Chinook and the Apache.

The POSB Opening Account Requirements

POSB is one of the oldest bank in Singapore. It is the 1st bank that I have an savings account with.

The interest rates they offered is not great at the moment, I only mantain them for the purpose of paying bills through GIRO.

POSB Opening Account Eligibility and Requirement:

- At least 16 years old to open a personal or joint account.
- If you are below 16 years old, you may open a POSBkids Account.
- The minimum initial deposit is S$500. (The minimum initial deposit is $1 for individuals up to 21 years old or 62 years old and above.

Photoshop DVD Plastic Case Graphic PSD

There are a lot of ways to create nice looking DVD case through photoshop.

You can either use a photoshop action script or a photoshop psd file.

I think using a pre-made dvd plastic case psd file is a better choice as it is freely available on the web.

It is not easy to find a free dvd action script for photoshop and often you need to buy it at a price, but the end product should look nicer than the one made using a psd file.
